Global Leadership and Changes

A leadership is termed as more than a position or purpose or process of executing a task at global level. A leadership is more about the traits and approach of an individual from a global standpoint. A leader is more than just an influential person who has not only the ability to sweet talk and generate followers, but is also capable of taking risks and should know how much of risk is to be taken. On the other hand, we should be in the position to ask the leadership about his direction and the visionary to execute a certain critical task. It is a preconceived notion that every change in leadership is a change in the entire setup of operational system, there are several myths and realities around this. The world and therefore the leadership are changing with an unexpected speed. The way the leaders approach change varies widely and there's no shortage of literature to settle on how to adapt the change and provide a smooth transition. Although the research and therefore the findings argued that the idea is unique in their own ways, that specialize in individuals, there's an underlying idea of motivation persistent throughout change theory. Many theorists believe that finding individual motivations are at the core of successful change. Starting to find motivation included defining a vision that might excite the imaginations of followers to adapt the change and yield the best outcome.

Just like every other thing there are two sides to how a leader should be one side expects them to be less rational and more emotional and then there are others who expect their leader should be rational and less emotional that way the leader may have better chances to make unbiased decisions. The post heroic leaders are supposed to be more rational who coach their followers and create an environment that enables a coaching culture. The contemporary models of the 21st century is considering revisiting the traditional hierarchical leadership models to improve the concept of globalization. The global acceleration which is producing a chaos while accepting the changes in leadership are the key levels to address and what feats and skills does the leader possess to create the transition smooth. Leadership practices adopted by leaders arise from the contrivance of their personal values. The layers of values relevant to leadership are to be placed, the foremost basic of which might be morals and surface behavior values, followed by commitment to quality and hidden lifelong learning, and eventually the deep cognitive values. Surface values bind, and in some instance’s segregates, a bay window, while hiding values include the political theories that drive the organization, thereby affecting attitudes and natural processes of personnel in the last levels, a commitment towards lifelong learning exists, or the extent of commitment towards quality and fixing. It's inside the layered values, deep values, that leader and the behavior systems emerge.

The follower and leader relationships are vital during the transitional stages. Though the leadership is changing at global level the followers are at domestic level and the relationship between the two is key to the success or failure of the leadership. Information that leaders must take care to the values that followers are ready to distinguish with. The duty of the leadership role has to be indispensable to stay it ever-forward by adjusting pre-emptively in accordance with what's needed to satisfy both expediency and sustainability problems of being. Correspondingly, the leaders have to get to invoked of purpose, through a vision that energizes and motivates followers towards the long term. The leaders need to be advised and are expected to be before their followers, so as to effectively guide them along. Previous strategic leadership studies have borrowed heavily from other areas, notably behavior and psychology. While providing deep insights into leader characteristics and deportment, such studies haven't been incorporated into a strategic focus and predict quantifiable outcomes. Emerging global dynamics are a challenge to include into one dimension that fits all. Strategic leadership provides a viable connection between the dynamics of globalization. Through effective leadership, the community can effectively process and add up of the effects of globalization. Strategic leadership challenges require the exact characteristics of a strategic leader to be effective in creating attention which will meet objectives while navigating the worldwide contribution.

The other prominent quality a leader is expected to possess is the ability to take and understand risk. Risk-taking may be a central requisite for effective leadership. Risk-taking must be distinguished from predicted to uncertain conditions. Risk-taking involves cost-benefits of strategic options within the setting of incomplete data. The cost for taking risks is earning economy, credibility and opinion. Along the uncertainty involves making choices under circumstances that can't be measured because the chance of success or failure is undetermined. The leaders need the potential and willingness to require calculative risks with the expectation of over-performing the worldwide marketplace. Risk-taking may be a desirable characteristic of an innovative Leader. One among the strategic choices, take a chance-taking is that the instrumental variable that finds the spectacular success or drastic failure. Inside the evaluation of a leadership characteristic personality, leadership behaviors and influence tactics, found that champions exhibit higher risk-taking and innovativeness. The visionary leadership depends on the propensity for accepting risks. Risk taking plays a big role within the current global environment which is abundant with fresh chances with high risk on the downside. Risk-taking is that the necessary power that forces the leadership to transition the system from maintaining established order (and waiting to be wiped off the worldwide landscape) or actively engaging competitors within the murky environment of complexity, ambiguity and asymmetric information.

The mental ability to steer in complex global contexts has become synonymous with adaptability, competitiveness and creativity. Increasing interconnectivity is causing the planet to involve greater global leadership which comes with a challenge of choosing who may be a good leader and the way isn’t. Seeing the international interaction is important for effectively transition within the today’s global environment. The extent of this understanding relates to possession of international competencies, although the requirement to prepare leaders with adequate competencies has become obvious in late years, there's nevertheless a large crack between the international demands of worldwide strategies and their recognition. Furthermore, diversity and complexity results in increase during a domestic environment as operations go more international. The dynamics, complexity and variety, now characteristics of the worldwide environment, are fanning out into the domestic environment, globalization is changing leaders' perspectives and required competencies

My keen interest in global leadership the impact and challenges on domestic level in the cases of true leader against a power fascinated superior has pushed me to apply for this position to start out a first-hand exposure to the current and the future principals, policies and challenges in Global Leadership and Changes. I am motivated to explore the wide theme of leadership and concentrate the topic to its micro level by reading the previous researcher’s work for a decade and more which is more than hundreds of definitions of leaders and more than thousands of empirical investigations on the same. In my knowledge, based on a couple of tens of research papers that I have read my understanding is there is has been no defined lines distinguished between leaders and non-leadership based on their strength and efficiency with regards to the global view. Explaining how effective is one being a leader and how non effective leader can be is an unsolved mystery and everyone is decided based on their own choice of domain and context. I intend to focus on an unbiased rational approach on investigating few global leaders who are said to be successful and likewise those who are pronounced to be failed leaders with regard to both personality and position in which they took certain decisions. With every milestone and supported strong study I want to submit my findings in the form of research papers and demonstrations. Along with achieving the practical solution to my doctoral thesis problem statement my future goal is to coin toss on principles and policies that can be adapted globally which leads us to make the marginal lines to understand our leaders in an indifferent way.
